Understanding Suicide Bereavement.
Suicide is a personal decision influenced by a whole range of medical, psychological, social, relationship and other factors. To develop an understanding of the topic we have to be aware of the effect that such factors have both on the person who suicides as well as the effect on those left behind.
Course Content
- Making sense of the changing rates of suicide in the UK .
- The extent to which Suicide bereavement can be seen to be different to other forms of bereavement.
- Providing support for those bereaved by suicide.
Learning Outcomes
- You will develop a better understanding of the complexity of Suicide and its Bereavement
- You will be better able to understand the feelings of those bereaved by Suicide.
- You will be better able to support those bereaved by Suicide.
